The Strategic Opportunity Radar Tracker (SORT) is Asbury Research’s newest tool for helping investors identify high-confidence market opportunities with clarity and precision. Originally developed for internal use, SORT analyzes a basket of 10 ETFs across Bonds, Commodities, Emerging Markets, Technology, and Broad Market Indexes using three core metrics—price trend, relative performance, and money flows.
Each ETF is scored with a simple green (favorable) or red (unfavorable) signal for each category, making it easy to spot strong opportunities at a glance. SORT empowers investors to monitor market trends, reallocate portfolios strategically, and drill down into sectors with emerging strength, all based on data-driven insights rather than guesswork.
As we can see in the table below, Gold appears as the only Asset Class with all three categories showing a positive skew (Green). This comes at a time of market uncertainty driven by indecision in Washinton D.C.. GLD (SPDR Gold Shares) is currently being treated as a safe haven for wealth, and this is being supported by a 3-month negative correlation with the S&P 500, telling us that recent returns of Gold are moving in the opposite direction to the S&P 500. This is a break from its strong positive correlation, looking back 10 years.
We will periodically use the SORT Report to give Asbury Research subscribers a quick and comprehensive top-down view of opportunities in the global market.
